3-Day Serengeti Fly-in Safari

SAFARI SNAPSHOT

Go on a thrilling short safari that brings you face to face with Tanzania’s legendary wildlife in record time. This fly-in safari to the Serengeti allows for maximum game viewing and minimal travel time. Experience the vast plains, witness the Big Five, explore the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, and immerse yourself in the heart of Africa’s wilderness—all in just three unforgettable days.

Your Safari Day Plan

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Begin your adventure with a scenic morning flight from Arusha to Serengeti National Park. As you soar above the breathtaking Tanzanian landscape, you’ll catch aerial views of the Great Rift Valley and endless savannahs.

Upon landing, meet your safari guide and head straight into the wild for your first game drive. The Serengeti never disappoints—expect to encounter roaming herds of wildebeest and zebras, regal lions basking on kopjes, elusive leopards lounging in trees, and majestic elephants grazing on the plains.

Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wilderness before continuing your exploration. As the sun sets over the savannah, return to your lodge or camp for a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

Rise early for a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is most active and the golden light casts a magical glow over the Serengeti. This is your best chance to see predators like lions and cheetahs on the hunt.

After a hearty breakfast back at your lodge, set off toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive doubles as an extended game drive, offering plenty of opportunities to spot more wildlife.

Optional en route activities:

  • Oldupai Gorge Museum – Discover one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world and learn about early human history.

  • Maasai Boma Visit – Engage in an authentic cultural experience through traditional dances and a guided tour of a Maasai homestead.

After the day’s adventures, settle into your accommodation in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater—often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an astonishing diversity of wildlife, including all members of the Big Five.

Explore the crater floor in an open-roof safari vehicle, encountering endangered black rhinos, herds of wildebeest and zebras, massive elephants, lions, and an abundance of birdlife around the central soda lake.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending from the crater and beginning your journey back to Arusha, where your safari adventure concludes.
